Picadillo de Vainicas (string beans cuts)

This beautiful string bean dish is another one of my country’s typical dishes. Many people in my country prepare this dish with ground beef, or with pork but I love it just the way it is plain. It may be because string beans are one of my favorite vegetables. This picadillo is very simple to prepare yet it is slow cooked so that all its flavor remains in each string of the bean. It is perfectly prepared so that every string bean is crispy, with a great flavor in every bite.
