I first tasted penne alla vodka in a little Italian restaurant in my home town. I absolutely loved it. Now I prepare my own penne alla vodka. The vodka and the bacon enhances the flavor and gives out a tastier taste to this beautiful pink, creamy sauce. Just add plenty of parmesan cheese and eat it away. Yummmy!!!

Ingredients:
4 slices of bacon cut into 1 inch pieces
½ medium onion diced
3 cloves of garlic
½ cut red pepper
Parsley
Garlic powder to taste
Italian seasoning to taste
Rosemary to taste
12 basil leaves
¼ vodka
1 28oz can of tomatoes crushed
½ heavy cream
1 box of penne pasta
parmesan cheese
Directions:
On a large pan cook the bacon over medium heat until browned wait for about 5 minutes or its cooled transfer into a blender, blend together with onion, garlic, pepper, parsley, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, rosemary, basil leaves, vodka, tomatoes crushed and heavy cream. After all that is very well blended. on the same large pan that you had cooked the bacon pour in the blended mixture and let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes.
Cook the pasta according to package. Drain pasta and combine the sauce with the pasta. Serve and sprinkle parmesan cheese.
